Cook (m/f)
Overview:
Cooks prepare, present and garnish a great variety of dishes. They organize the workflow in the kitchen, create menus, purchase ingredients and store them in a correct manner.
Education:
Training as a chef is an acknowledged training in accordance with the German Vocational Training Act (BBiG).
Restaurant Specialist (m/f)
Overview:
Restaurant specialists serve guests in restaurants. They mainly assist with the selection of food and drinks, serve food and bill customers but also prepare bigger events. In hotels they also work in room service.
Education:
Restaurant specialist is an acknowledged training in accordance with the German Vocational Training Act (BBiG). This apprenticeship which lasts for 3 years is regulated nationwide and is offered within the hospitality and catering industry.
Hotel Specialist (m/f)
Overview:
Hotel specialists can work at reception, in sales, on the floor, in the F&B service, banquets and also in the administration. Following the training, hotel specialists can move up the career ladder and reach positions such as department head and even director.
Education:
Hotel specialist is an acknowledged training in accordance with the German Vocational Training Act (BBiG). This apprenticeship which lasts for 3 years is regulated nationwide and is offered within the hospitality industry. The training is also possible in a school-based form.
